I remember singing my lungs out with Don't Speak from No Doubt and thinking that Gwen Stefani is such an amazing woman. She's not just a singer/songwriter and performer, she also has her own label L.A.M.B. that is amazing. I love her style, the fact that she has kept her private life quite private - did you know she has 3 kids already; Kingston, Zuma and Apollo - and she's just one of those women with a strong image that made herself. Plus, she's pretty as hell!
As the Holiday Season is coming, or according to most of the stores it has already been here since early October, Gwen Stefani and OPI joined forces and created a Holiday Collection.
The collection contains no less than 18 polishes with fancy names as Comet in the Sky, Red Fingers & Mistletoes and Christmas Gone Plaid.
Also, I couldn't not share this with you: the collection has the most luxurious topcoat ever. Don't Speak is the name of this limited edition 18k golden topcoat. I know what I want for Christmas!

As you may or may not know, I'm a major foodlover! So I decided to share some recipes with you from time to time - from time to time aka if I don't forget to take pictures.
Quiche is the most easy thing to make. For this pesto quiche you will need:
250 ml cream
2 eggs per person
250 grams chicken cubes (or cutlets that you cut into cubes yourself)
a jar of green pesto (about 190 grams)
pepper and salt
a prepackaged roll of puff pastry
Preheat your oven at 200°C.
First bake the chicken cubes with some chicken seasoning until they are ready.
Then beat your eggs with the cream. Afterwards you mix the pesto with the beaten eggs and cream with a fork.
Season with salt and pepper.
Unroll your puff pastry into a cake pan. You will need a border of about two to three fingers high, otherwise your filling will overflow. Poke some holes with a fork in the pastry to prevent it from being soggy.
Spread your chicken into the form and then pour the egg-cream-pesto mixture over the chicken.
Put the cake pan in the oven until ready, this will take about 30 to 45 minutes. The quiche is ready when the filling isn't runny anymore and the pastry is golden brown.
I know this doesn't look so tasty, but it really is. You could have prepared this for Halloween as a 'snot quiche'. Maybe next year? ;)
Zoals jullie weten of niet weten, ben ik een echte foodlover! Dus besloot ik af en toe wat recepten met jullie te delen - af en toe aka als ik geen foto's vergeet te maken.
Quiche is een van de gemakkelijkste dingen die je kan maken. Voor deze pesto quiche heb je nodig:
250 ml room
2 eieren per persoon
250 grams kippenblokjes (of reepjes die je zelf in blokjes snijdt)
een pot groene pesto (ongeveer 190 grams)
peper en zout
een voorverpakte rol bladerdeeg
Warm de oven voor op 200°C.
Bak eerst de kippenblokjes op met wat kippenkruiden tot ze gaar zijn.
Klop de eieren op met de room. Daarna mix je de pesto erdoor met behulp van een vork.
Kruid met peper en zout.
Rol je bladerdeeg uit in een taartvorm. Je hebt een rand nodig van twee tot drie vingers hoor, anders zal je vulling overstromen. Prik wat gaatjes met een vork in het deeg om te voorkomen dat deze nat blijft.
Verspreid je kip in de vorm en giet er dan de ei-room-pesto mix over.
Zet de taartvorm in de oven tot de quiche klaar is, dit zal ongeveer 30 tot 45 minuten duren. De quiche is klaar wanneer de vulling niet meer lopend is en het deeg goudbruin is.
Ik weet dat dit er niet erg smakelijk uitziet, maar het is het echt wel. Je kan dit ook voor Halloween voorbereiden als 'snot quiche'. Volgend jaar misschien? ;)
Fall is to me the most annoying season. Why you ask? Because I have no idea what clothes I need to wear! The mornings are cold, but then the sun rises and around noon it's warm enough to walk around without a jacket. So I decided to mix things up by wearing Spring/Summer dress and shoes with a Fall/Winter cardigan and tights to keep my legs warm.

De herfst is voor mij het meest irritante seizoen. Waarom vraag je? Omdat ik geen idee heb welke kleren ik moet dragen! De ochtenden zijn koud, maar dan komt de zon op en rond de middag is het warm genoeg om zonder jas rond te lopen. Ik besloot dus om wat te mixen door lente-/zomerjurkje en -schoenen te dragen met een herfst/winter cardigan en panty's om mijn benen warm te houden.

NUMBER 4 Lumière d'Hiver Super Comb Prep & Protect is a hairspray that strengthens and repairs your hair and helps untangle knots in your hair. I've used it a few times now and I must say it does work. I'm always kind of sceptic about these sprays but this one convinced me. It doesn't really have a particular smell that stays, so your hair still smells like your shampoo/conditioner. It's also super easy to use, you just spray it evenly over towel dry hair and then continue your usual routine.
HUYGENS Le Lait Corps Verveine d'Huygens is a bodymilk that hydrates your skin. This product also blends into your skin very fast and my skin feels soft and hydrated. The bodymilk smells like lemon or more lemongrass in my opinion. But to be honest the smell is too much for me and I'm going to keep it for when mosquitoseason is back because they like to feed on me and this will hopefully repel them. Shanah on the other hand really loves the smell and is using it all the time.
LOLLIPOPS MAKE-UP Nailpolish Voyage à Paris is a bright red nailpolish. And I must say, I was surprised by how well it covers. Usually a bright red polish needs two or three layers before you can't see your nail anymore. This one though only needed one, but I still used two out of habit and because a second layer is usually a tad prettier. Also, it dries really fast and doesn't chip fast either.
THEBALM COSMETICS Stainiac hint of tint for cheeks and lips is a gel that can be used as lipgloss or as a blush. As a lipgloss, it isn't sticky like a normal gloss, it feels very soft and the color is some redrose. As a blush, it doesn't really work on my skin. The blush doesn't stay on my skin so I can't use it like this. Shanah tried it too and it stays little better on her skin, but not that much either. So it will just be a lipgloss for me.
NATURA BRASIL Ekos Creamy Hand Balm Castanha is actually the first handcream I've ever used, but it comes in very handy as my fingers are peeling off. So I've been using it very often now and I hope the tube will last a very long time because I love it! It smells good - the box says chestnut and it does softly smell like it, not too much though -, the cream isn't sticky if you rub it in well and it absorbs into your skin very well and fast. You could say this is my favourite item of this month's box.

NUMBER 4 Lumière d'Hiver Super Comb Prep & Protect is een haarspray die je haar steiler maakt en helpt de knopen uit je haar te halen. Ik heb het al een paar keer gebruikt en ik moet zeggen dat het echt werkt. Ik ben altijd nogal sceptisch over deze sprays maar deze heeft me overtuigd. Het heeft niet echt een specifieke geur, dus je haar ruikt nog steeds naar je shampoo/conditioner. Het is ook heel gemakkelijk te gebruiken, je sprayt het gewoon gelijkmatig over handdoek droog haar en dan ga je verder met je gebruikelijke routine.
HUYGENS Le Lait Corps Verveine d'Huygens is een bodymilk die je huid hydrateert. Dit product trekt ook heel snel in je huid en mijn huid voelt zacht en gehydrateerd. De bodymilk ruikt naar citroen of eerder citroengras vind ik. Maar om eerlijk te zijn is de geur te fel voor mij en ga ik het bewaren tot het muggenseizoen er weer is omdat ze zich graag met mij voeden en dit hen hopelijk zal afweren.
THEBALM COSMETICS Stainiac hint of tint for cheeks and lips is een gel die als lipgloss en als blush gebruikt kan worden. Als lipgloss is het niet plakkerig zoals een gewone gloss, het voelt zacht aan en de kleur is roodroos. Als blush werkte het niet echt op mijn huid. De blush bleef niet zichtbaar dus ik ken hem op deze manier niet gebruiken. Shanah heeft het ook getest en bij haar blijft het iets beter zichtbaar, maar ook niet veel. Het zal dus gewoon lipgloss zijn voor mij.
LOLLIPOPS MAKE-UP Nailpolish Voyage à Paris is een felrode nagellak. En ik moet zeggen, ik was verbaasd over hoe goed hij dekt. Normaal gezien heeft een felrode lak twee of drie lagen nodig voor je je nagel niet meer ziet. Deze heeft echter maar één nodig, maar ik heb toch twee lage gebruikt uit gewoonte en omdat een tweede laag meestal toch iets mooier is. Daarbij droogt deze lak heel snel en chipt hij ook niet snel.
NATURA BRASIL Ekos Creamy Hand Balm is eigenlijk de eerste handcrème die ik ooit gebruik, maar hij komt nu goed uit aangezien mijn vingers vervellen. Dus ik gebruik het nu heel vaak en ik hoop dat de tube lang meegaat want ik ben er gek op! Het ruikt goed - de doos zegt kastanje en het er ruikt inderdaad lichtjes naar, maar niet te fel -, de crème plakt niet als je hem goed inwrijft en hij trekt heel goed en snel in je huid. Je zou kunnen zeggen dat dit item mijn favoriet is uit de doos van deze maand.
