Most of you know that October is breast cancer awareness month. To raise awareness of this horrible disease, and other cancers, Birchbox's October box is all pink.

Davines Nourishing Shampoo and Nourishing Hair Building Pak are specifically for dry and damaged hair. Well, my hair isn't either of those, but I still wanted to try them out.
They both smell a bit citrusy, which I quite like. Usually when I use shampoo that isn't for my hair type, it tends to get greasy quite quickly. To my big surprise, it didn't happen with this one! It might be because it's quite a natural shampoo without parabens and sulphates, but I really liked it.
The hair building pak is a mask that brings flexibility and shine to your hair. As my hair isn't damaged, I don't really notice any extra shine. But it doesn't grease my hair either, so that is a good sign. The only downside I see is that you have to leave it on for 10 minutes, which is quite long.

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil cleanses your skin of all its impurities and also works as a make-up remover. You simply dab it a few times into your hands and then massage it into your skin for about 40 seconds. Rinse with water, don't rub, just rinse, and tadaa!
I'm always a bit hesitant to use oils because I'm afraid it will be greasy and make my skin greasy and give me spots. Well, I keep on being surprised, because yet again this isn't like that at all. I really love this product! My skin feels so clean and fresh. I just have to get used to taking 30 seconds more in the morning. I always forget how non time-consuming this oil is.

Whish Body Butter contains only organic ingredients. The body butter leaves your skin soft, hydrated and with a persistent fragrance.
I have to say, it's all true. Soft and hydrated skin for quite a while and the fragrance is very persistent. I got the almond one, and while I usually don't mind that smell, it's a tad too strong for me in this body butter. The smell does softens after a while and then I like it a lot. But after just putting it on, it really is too strong for me. So, I think I might just use it on my legs and not so much on the upper body parts.

Thermaliv Hydractiv Night Cream helps your skin regenerate itself during the night so that you wake up with a rested and refreshed skin.
This cream is so fresh and moisturising, it really is amazing.

IBY Beauty Angles blush brush is well, a blush brush. They made this in a pink version for this box, they are black usually, and I have to say, even though I'm not of a pink kinda girl, I do like this a lot. Also, so soft!

De meesten onder jullie weten dat oktober borstkankermaand is. Om mensen bewust te maken van deze verschrikkelijke ziekte, en andere kankers, is de oktober box van Birchbox helemaal roze.

Davines Nourishing Shampoo en Nourishing Hair Building Pak zijn specifiek for droog en beschadigd haar. Wel, mijn haar is geen van beide, maar ik wou ze toch uitproberen.
Beiden ruiken een beetje citrusachtig, wat ik wel lekker vind. Gewoonlijk wanneer ik shampoo gebruik die niet voor mijn haartype is, heeft het de neiging om vrij snel vettig te worden. Tot mijn grote verrassing, is dat niet gebeurd! Het is misschien omdat het een vrij natuurlijke shampoo is zonder parabenen en sulfaten, maar ik vond het echt leuk.
Het hair building pak is een masker dat soepelheid en glans aan je haar geeft. Aangezien mijn haar niet beschadigd is, heb ik niet echt extra glans opgemerkt. Maar het maakt mijn haar ook niet vettig, dus dat is een goed teken. Het enige nadeel dat ik zie, is dat je het 10 minuten moet laten inwerken, wat vrij lang is.

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil verwijdert alle onzuiverheden van je huid en het werkt ook als make-up verwijderaar. Je schudt het een paar keer in je hand en masseert het dan in je huid gedurende ongeveer 40 seconden. Spoel met water, niet wrijven, enkel spoelen, en tadaa!
Ik twijfel altijd een beetje om olies te gebruiken omdat ik bang ben dat het vettig zal zijn en mijn huid vettig zal maken en mij dus puistjes zal geven. Ik blijf maar verrast worden, want ook deze keer is het helemaal niet het geval. Ik hou echt van dit product! Mijn huid voelt zo proper en fris. Ik moet enkel gewoon worden aan die extra 30 seconden die ik nodig heb 's ochtends. Ik vergeet altijd dat deze olie helemaal niet tijdrovend is.

Whish Body Butter bevat enkel organische ingrediënten. De body butter maakt je huid zacht, gehydrateerd en de geur blijft langdurig hangen.
Ik moet zeggen, het is allemaal waar. Een zachte en gehydrateerde huid gedurende een hele tijd en de geur blijft echt lang hangen. Ik heb de amandelgeur, en hoewel ik die geur meestal niet erg vind, is het een beetje sterk voor mij in deze body butter. De geur wordt wel wat zachter na een tijdje en dan vind ik het wel heel lekker. Maar net na het gebruik, is het echt te sterk voor mij. Dus ik denk dat ik hem enkel op mijn benen ga gebruiken en niet echt op de bovenste lichaamsdelen.

Thermaliv Hydractiv Night Cream helpt je huid zichzelf herstellen gedurende de nacht zodat je met een uitgerustte en frisse huid opstaat.
Deze crème is zo fris en hydraterend, hij is echt geweldig.

IBY Beauty Angles blush brush is wel, een blush borstel. Ze hebben deze in een roze versie gemaakt voor deze box, normaal zijn ze zwart, en ik moet zeggen dat ondanks dat ik geen roze soort meisje ben, ik deze wel leuk vind. En, zo zacht!

As a big fan of anything spaghetti-related, I was super excited about the opening of a new restaurant that only serves spaghetti. Although the concept isn't entirely new in Belgium, it is new in Antwerp. Flâneur is a true one-dish-restaurant that serves spaghetti in three quite classic versions: pomodoro for the vegetarians, the classic and then a ragù with a little more meat.

The fastronomy - fast and gastronomy, get it? - concept is like a fast casual trendy version of the spaghetti. You eat quite a simple dish, but put together with the best ingredients and products, in a nice environment. Picture stylish black with gold details and dark wood.
Each spaghetti also comes with a specially selected wine and afterwards you can choose from three desserts: chocolate mousse, tiramisu or crème brûlée with red fruits.

Als grote fan van alles spaghetti-gerelateerd, was ik superenthousiast over de opening van een nieuw restaurant dat enkel spaghetti serveert. Hoewel het concept niet helemaal nieuw is in België, het is nieuw in Antwerpen.
Flâneur is een echt one-dish-restaurant dat spaghetti in drie vrij klassieke versies serveert: pomodoro voor de vegetariërs, de classic en dan een ragù met wat meer vlees.

Het fastronomie - fast en gastronomie, heb je hem? - concept is als een fast casual trendy versie van de spaghetti. Je eet een vrij simpel gerecht, maar in elkaar gestoken met de beste ingrediënten en producten, in een leuke omgeving. Beeld je elegant zwart in met gouden details en donker hout.
Elke spaghetti komt ook met een speciaal geselecteerde wijn en achteraf kun je kiezen van drie desserts: chocolademousse, tiramisu of crème brûlée met rode vruchten.

The september box was a collaboration with Wear Lemonade, a website that sells limited edition items. I didn't know the brand/website, but I think it looks pretty cool. I think everybody loves having something that is quite unique, and that is what they are selling.

Revlon Professional Uniq One All In One Hair Treatment. That is a mouthful! This is a little spray that has not 1, not 2 but 10 benefits for your hair. It repairs damaged hair, illuminates them, tames the frizzyness, untangles, makes drying and straightening easier, helps keeping it styled, texturises, protects from heat and U.V., gives flexibility to your hair and last but not least, avoids split ends. This is like a mask but can be applied on dry and wet hair and doesn't need rinsing! Sounds quite good. On wet hair, you just spray it around before untangling; on dry hair you spray it onto your hands, rub them together and then apply it on your lengths and points.
This smells quite good, very soft and sweet. The spray is different than I expected, I expected like a mist to come out but it's more real drops coming out. Not like rain or a shower, but something in between a mist and a spray. I'm not noticing any difference though for now. Maybe after using it a for a longer time.

I think everyone knows Rituals, if not, in what cave have you been living? The Ritual of Sakura Magic Touch Body Cream is well, a body cream, duh. The smell is organic rice milk and cherry blossom according to the package.
I wouldn't know what those smell like in real life, but the smell is so amazing! It's a very soft smell that does linger quite a while. The texture is really creamy, but not like thick. It's nice and fresh and doesn't feel greasy or anything. I'm a fan!

Codage Scrubbing Cream is a scrub that gets rid of impurities and dead skin.
I don't really like the feeling of this scrub. It kinda feels like sand and I don't like that feeling, so I'm not really a fan of the fine scrub.

Peony Lipstick in the colour Maria was a limited edition for this box. The packaging matched the box, which is so cute! The pigment of the lipstick is quite nice. The texture is less creamy than I'm used to, so it's a tad drying for my lips. The colour is really beautiful but not quite what I'm used to wearing, it's more orange-red, while I always go for red-red or more pink tones. The husband likes it though, so I'm giving this a few tries later on.

Scarf Mini Dalida from Wear Lemonade is a little multi-use scarf that was created specially for this box! You can use it as a regular scarf, as a belt or in your hear to hide the bad hair days, hihi.

De september box was een samenwerking met Wear Lemonade, een website die limited edition items verkoopt. Ik kende het merk/de website niet, maar ik vind dat het er best cool uit ziet. Ik denk dat iedereen graag iets unieks heeft, en dat is wat zij verkopen.

Revlon Professional Uniq One All In One Hair Treatment. Dat is een mondvol! Dit is een kleine spray met niet 1, niet 2 maar 10 voordelen voor je haar. Het herstelt kapot haar, verlicht het, temt het kroezen, ontwart, maakt drogen en stijlen gemakkelijker, helpt je kapsel behouden, zorgt voor textuur, beschermt tegen hitte en U.V, maakt je haar flexibel en tenslotte, vermijdt gespleten punten. Het is een beetje zoals een masker maar kan op nat en op droog haar aangebracht worden en het hoeft niet uitgespoeld te worden! Klinkt best goed. Op nat haar spray je het gewoon rond voor je ontwart; op droog haar spray je het op je handen, wrijft ze tegen elkaar en brengt het dan aan op je lengtes en punten.
Dit ruikt best lekker, heel zacht en zoet. De spray is anders dan ik verwacht had, ik verwachtte een soort mist maar het zijn eerder echte druppels die er uit komen. Niet zoals regen of een douche, maar iets tussen mist en spray in. Ik merk momenteel nog geen verschil. Misschien wanneer ik het wat langer gebruik.

Ik denk dat iedereen Rituals kent, zo niet, in welke grot heb je geleefd? The Ritual of Sakura Magic Touch Body Cream is wel, een body cream, duh. De geur is, volgens de verpakking, organische rijst en kersenbloesem.
Ik zou niet weten hoe dat in het echt ruikt, maar dit ruikt echt zo heerlijk! Het is een heel zachte geur die toch lang blijft hangen. De textuur is heel romig, maar niet dik. Het is lekker en fris en voelt helemaal niet vettig aan. Ik ben fan!

Codage Scrubbing Cream is een scrub die onzuiverheden en dode huid verwijdert.
Ik vind het gevoel van deze scrub niet echt aangenaam. Het voelt een beetje als zand en ik hou niet echt van dat gevoel, dus ik ben niet echt fan van de fijne scrub.

Peony Lipstick in de kleur Maria was een limited edition voor deze box. De verpakking matcht met de box, echt zo cute! Het pigment van de lippenstift is vrij goed. De textuur is minder creamy dan wat ik gewoon ben, dus het is licht uitdrogend voor mijn lippen. De kleur is echt prachtig, maar niet wat ik gewoon ben te dragen, het is meer oranjerood terwijl ik altijd ga voor rood rood of meer roze tinten. De echtgenoot vindt het wel mooi, dus ik ga het later nog een aantal keer proberen.

Scarf Mini Dalida van Wear Lemonade is een kleine multigebruik sjaal die speciaal voor deze doos gemaakt is! Je kan het gebruiken als gewone sjaal, als riem of in je haar om de bad hair days te verbergen, hihi.

This box just screams tropical vacation! It makes me want to go on holiday so much. Yeah, Birchbox is always so on point with their boxes, you just gotta love it!

The Kadalys Musaclean Gentle Purifying Mask appeases and absorbs all the impurities of your skin. You just put a generous amount of it onto your face, but avoid eye contour, and let it work for 10 tot 15 minutes. After that, you just rinse it with water.
It kinda smells like the chewing gum you used to find inside a lollypop, which is quite funny. After looking at the ingredients, it actually is the banana that comes out. I usually don't like banana, but it's quite soft here, if you can say that about a smell, so I don't hate it. And as said, for some reason, it reminds me of those chewing gums so it's like a little throwback every time I use it. At first I was a bit scared because it kind off tightened and felt like it was drying my skin out, but afterwards my skin felt really really soft. Even the day after some skinzones were still softer than usual.

Nailmatic Viva Brazil in the colour Heli isn't really my colour. I'm not really of a peach kinda girl, so I didn't try it so that I can give this to someone unopened.

Natura Brasil Castanha Dry Oil is exactly what it says, a dry oil. It hydrates your skin and protects it while leaving like a satin film on it.
At first I was a bit sceptic, because oil and dry are not really two coherent terms in my opinion. So I though it was going to be greasy and stay greasy. Well, it didn't. The oil almost immediately was absorbed into my skin. And that smell! Since I discovered the hand cream in the October 2014 box I am such a fan of this smell and brand!

ModelCo Crème Rouge Cheek & Lips is a 2-in-1 blush and lip cream. This is super easy to use and is quite pigmented too, which I was a bit worried about. The colour is very pretty red, not super bright, it's more of a soft red. I haven't gotten the blush part right yet, but working on it!

Doux me Pure Spring Water Spray is a water brume spray that is absolutely refreshing in summer! I know I'm going to be using this a lot!

Deze box doet echt zo hard denken aan tropische vakantie! Ik wil hierdoor zo graag op vakantie. Ja, Birchbox is altijd zo on point met hun boxes, you just gotta love it!

De Kadalys Musaclean Gentle Purifying Mask kalmeert en absorbeert de onzuiverheden van je huid. Je brengt gewoon een royale hoeveelheid aan op je gezicht, maar vermijd de omtrek van je ogen, en je laat het gedurende 10 tot 15 minuten werken. Na dat spoel je het gewoon met water.
Het ruikt een beetje naar de kauwgom die je vroeger in lolly's vond, wat best grappig is. Na gekeken te hebben naar de ingrediënten, is het eigenlijk de banaan die naar boven komt. Meestal hou ik niet zo van banaan, maar het is vrij zacht hier, als je dat van een geur kunt zeggen, dus ik vind het niet zo erg. En zoals gezegd, om de een of andere reden herinnert het mij aan die kauwgommen dus het is een beetje een throwback elke keer ik het gebruik. In het begin was ik een beetje bang omdat het nogal strak werd en voelde alsof het mijn huid aan het uitdrogen was, maar nadien was mijn huid super super zacht. Zelfs de dag erna waren sommige huidzones nog zachter dan normaal.

Nailmatic Viva Brazil in de kleur Heli is niet echt mijn kleur. Ik ben niet echt het type meisje voor perzik, dus ik heb deze niet uitgeprobeerd zodat ik het ongeopend aan iemand kan geven.

Wel, dat was het niet. De olie trok bijna meteen in in mijn huid. En die geur! Sinds ik de handcrème ontdekt heb in de box van oktober 2014 ben ik zo'n fan van deze geur en dit merk!

ModelCo Crème Rouge Cheek & Lips is een 2-in-1 blush en lip crème. Het is super gemakkelijk te gebruiken en is vrij gepigmenteerd ook, waar ik een beetje bezorgd over was. De kleur is heel mooi rood, niet super fel, het is eerder een zacht rood. Het blush gedeelte heb ik nog niet onder de knie gekregen, maar ik werk er aan!

Doux me Pure Spring Water Spray is een watermist spray die echt zo verfrissend is in de zomer! Ik weet dat ik deze heel veel ga gebruiken!

Everybody knosw a woman's hair is one of the most important parts of her look. The search for a shampoo that is perfect for your hair can take a long time. I have been trying out the Kérastase Densifique Hair Care shampoo, masque and mousse.

The Densifique Hair Care line has three main ingredients.

Hyaluronic acid as natural mineral to help hair attract and retain moisture, makes it capable of holding 1000 times its own weight in water and creates a plump and hydrated hair fiber.

The gluco-peptide restores a smooth and uniform surface to the hair cuticle to increase the shine and resiliency.

Ceramide is a lipid that strengthens the hair fiber while also protecting it against further hair stress.

I have quite thin hair so I thought I'd give this density line a try.

I want to start by saying that the smell is so good! But not overwhelming or anything, it's light but really oh so good.

The shampoo already works its miracle with just a little bit and I have to admit, it does feel like it's making my hair denser.

The mask make my hair feel so soft! The instructions say to use it daily, but washing your hair everyday isn't good so I'm not follow that instruction. But the times that I do use it, it really works like a charm.

The mousse adds instant density to your hair without weighing it down. You use a puff on dry or towel-dried hair and then just comb through.

I'm really a fan of this hair care line and recommend it to any of you thin haired girls out there!

Just be sure to use very little, otherwise it will make your hair greasy if your hair tends to get greasy quite easily.

Iedereen weet dat het haar van een vrouw een van de meest belangrijke delen van haar look is. De zoektocht naar de shampoo die perfect is voor je haar kan lang duren. Ik heb de Kérastase Densifique Hair Care shampoo, masker en mousse uitgeprobeerd.

De Densifique Hair Care lijn heeft drie hoofdingrediënten:

Hyaluronzuur is een natuurlijk mineraal dat het haar helpt om vochtigheid aan te trekken en vast te houden, helpt om het tot 1000 keer het eigen gewicht in water vast te kunnen houden en een dikke en gehydrateerde haarvezel te creëren.

De gluco-peptide herstelt de haarwortel tot een glad en gelijkmatig oppervlak om glans en veerkracht te vergroten.

Ceramide is een lipide die de haarvezel versterkt en het ondertussen ook beschermt tegen verdere haarstress.

Ik heb vrij dun haar dus ik dacht dat ik deze density lijn een uit kon proberen.

Ik wil vooral beginnen door te zeggen dat deze producten zo lekker ruiken! Het is helemaal niet overweldigend, het is echt heel licht maar echt zo lekker.

De shampoo werkt zijn wonder al met maar een heel klein beetje en ik moet toegeven, het voelt wel alsof het de dichtheid van mijn haar vergroot.

Het masker maakt mijn haar zo zacht! Volgens de instructies moet je het dagelijks gebruiken, maar elke dag je haar wassen is niet goed dus die instructie volg ik niet. Maar de keren dat ik het gebruik, werkt het zoals het moet.

De mousse maakt je haar meteen dikker zonder het te verzwaren. Je gebruikt een toefje op droog op handdoekdroog haar en kamt het er door.

Ik ben echt een fan van deze haarverzorgingslijn en beveel het aan aan iedereen met dun haar!

Let er op dat je echt wel een beetje gebruikt, anders maakt het je haar vettig als je haar de neiging heeft om gemakkelijk vettig te worden.
